Subscribe from iCal
What you can learn in this topic:
To read an overview of how subscribing works, go to Overview: iCal subscribe and publish.
In this topic, we talk about mixing in calendars. If you don't know what this means, you might want to read this first: Mix-ins, paging, and grouping.
Subscribe to a non-published calendar
You can subscribe to any non-published calendar that you can edit. A non-published calendar that you can edit is either a calendar that you created or that someone shared with you and gave you permission to add, change, or delete events.
When you subscribe to a non-published calendar, the only events that you'll see in iCal are events that actually belong to that calendar. If events from other calendars are mixed in, the mixed-in events won't appear in iCal.
To subscribe to a non-published calendar
- In Trumba Connect, find the web name for the calendar to which you want to subscribe.
If you aren't sure how to find the web name, see Find a calendar's web name.
- In iCal, on the Calendar menu, click Subscribe.
- For Subscribe to, type this URL: webcal://www.trumba.com/service/webname.ics, where webname is the web name of the Trumba calendar.
- Type your Trumba Connect sign in email address and password.
- For Title, type a name for the new or existing iCal calendar, and then click Subscribe.
Subscribe to a published calendar
You can subscribe to any calendar that you or anyone else published, as long as the calendar is not password protected.

Tips
What to expect in iCal after you subscribe
In iCal, after you subscribe to a Trumba calendar:
- You can't make any changes to events on the subscribed calendar. Changes you make in Trumba Connect are passed to the iCal calendar.
- If you subscribe to a published Trumba calendar that the owner subsequently unpublishes, you'll get an error in iCal when you try to refresh.
