TRUMBA EXPERIENCES CONTINUED GROWTH IN
HIGHER EDUCATION MARKET
University of Maryland Law School, Taylor University, and William Patterson University Join Growing List of Universities Integrating Trumba Connect’s Online Calendaring Solution for Promotion of Campus Events
SEATTLE, WA, March 6, 2007 – Trumba Corporation, a developer of innovative online calendaring solutions, announced today the addition of three new higher education customers -- University of Maryland Law School, Taylor University, and William Patterson University. These universities join Trumba’s growing list of higher education institutions that have integrated Trumba Connect into their web sites as an interactive, two-way communications vehicle for delivering event information among their key constituencies. Trumba Connect is an online event calendaring solution that helps organizations increase event awareness and attendance and better connects them with their audiences through a comprehensive suite of tools that includes a hosted, interactive web calendar, email, and reporting services.
Using Trumba Connect, these universities are able to maximize event awareness and attendance among students, faculty members, administrators, alumni, donors, and members of the community at large. The Trumba Connect-powered calendars feature relevant information about campus events ranging from concerts, football games, and fund raising activities, to department meetings and academic integrity hearings. Using Trumba Connect, visitors to the universities’ web sites can easily add events to their personal calendars, set event reminders, arrange to be notified if events change, and more. They can also set up RSS feeds and subscribe to calendar emails so that information about new and updated events is delivered to them automatically.
“We are experiencing increased interest and growth from the higher education market as colleges and universities discover the value of Trumba Connect in helping them provide relevant, timely, accurate, and accessible event information to a diverse range of constituencies,” said Jeremy Jaech, CEO of Trumba. “Trumba Connect allows them to transform the way they deliver event data in order to drive greater awareness and attendance for their events and, at the same time, help them stay better connected to their surrounding community.”
Trumba Connect allows universities to fully integrate the online event calendars with a look and feel that is consistent with their own brand. In addition, universities can create numerous sub-calendars, such as custom calendars for student activities, athletics, and other university activities, that can be password-protected and accessible using secure URLs.
