UW Tacoma Campus Events

Please join us to learn about the Royalty Research Fund (RRF) - an
excellent opportunity open to faculty across UW campuses that provides
one-year awards of up to $40,000 to advance new scholarly directions and
creative activities, particularly:

‒ in disciplines for which external funding opportunities are minimal;
‒ for faculty who are junior in rank; and/or
‒ in support of increasing competitiveness for subsequent funding.

The RRF has supported many UW Tacoma faculty in advancing their
scholarship. Join Proposal Development Consultant Kara Luckey for this
info session – being held in advance of the RRF’s upcoming March 3rd
deadline – to gain insight into how the RRF can support your work, the
components of a RRF proposal, and the submission process. Kara will
also offer tips for maximizing competitiveness based on advice shared
by RRF reviewers and committee members, as well as on Kara’s
experiences supporting faculty in preparing successful proposals.

Spring 2025 RRF submission timeline and process: 

By Monday, February 3^rd - Notify UWT Office of Research of Intent to Apply for RRF - fill out online form here.

By Wednesday, Feb 19^th - ALL final proposal requirements due to UWTOR for review and UWT internal eGC1 routing (PLEASE NOTE: All RRF proposals from UW Tacoma MUST route through the UWT Office of Research for review and submission through UW’s grant processing system, SAGE, and require Dean/Director approval. PIs must submit final proposal elements to UWT Office of Research by Wednesday, February 19th)
