Description | The IIGE’s signature Winter quarter event, Shared Futures (Feb 28, 12:00-2:00 p.m., MLG 203) features an amazing entrepreneur and inspiring DEI consultant, Philip “Sharp Skills” Jacobs. In his presentation, “Addressing the Elephant in the Room” Mr. Jacobs will share insights from his latest book, provide practical advice on how organizations can work collaboratively to solve racial inequities in the workplace, and lead an interactive session with his groundbreaking new board game, Reveal the Elephant.
Shared Futures is an important learning and networking event for all UWT students. This is your chance to connect with our Community Advisory Board, Innovation Action Network, and community partners. Please bring a question or two for Mr. Jacobs, and please bring your CV and purpose statement for feedback from our community guests. The second half of Shared Futures will be devoted to networking, mentoring, and feedback. Our community partners are proud of our students and happy to share their expertise and wisdom. Come make a connection! REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Space is limited so we encourage you to rsvp here no later than February 20, 2024. Please email iige@uw.edu for questions and accommodation requests.
