Details | Art may not be on the menu for most of us, but pests seem to have a different opinion! Learn from art conservators about how they protect art from pests in this hands-on workshop for children ages three to eight and their caregivers. Try out tools from our conservation labs, tour the Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room, and then put your conservation skills to work with a fun craft. This is an in-person event. A virtual version of this workshop will take place on October 5, 2024. Accessibility: The public elevator in the West Building (Freer Gallery of Art) is out of service, so your route to the event location may take a few more minutes than usual. Use the accessible entrance at the corner of Independence Avenue and 12th Street SW, and follow the directions when you arrive. Get more accessibility details.
