July's theme is Past, and we will venture out into the Deep Time museum exhibit! The World and Me team is going out into the museum for a special fossil-focused adventure! Experience the David H. Koch Hall of Fossils tailored to families with learners of all ages. Scientists and educators from the Smithsonian will be on hand to welcome families and anyone interested in exploring Earth’s deep past. No registration required. Families can join at any time during the duration of the event and stay as long as suits each family. During the program, visitors can: - Touch and hold real fossils
- Observe experts at work in the FossiLab
- Engage with educators and experts throughout the exhibit at different carts and stations
- Create your own fossil rubbing
- Find fossils throughout the museum with a special fossil map
- Decorate your own pendant to take home and to remember your Deep Time experience
- And more!
Location: This program is held in the David H. Koch Hall of Fossils - Deep Time exhibit on the 1st floor of the museum.
