Description | Join us for an engaging lunchtime book talk with Dr. Pooja Tandon and Dr. Danette Swanson Glassy, as they discuss their latest work, “Digging Into Nature.” This event will take place virtually at noon on Wednesday, October 2. "Digging Into Nature" presents a compelling case for the benefits of spending time outdoors, highlighting how nature can help children and families become happier, healthier, and more resilient. Packed with nature-based, developmentally appropriate activities, the book also addresses common challenges that busy families face when trying to incorporate outdoor time into their routines. It provides guidance for parents of children with special healthcare needs and includes cultural considerations to ensure all children can reap the rewards of the great outdoors.
