At Community Education In Action, we promote collective action through co-design and co-learning. Unleash your creativity as we craft together inspiring learning resources to address climate change through the lens of environmental and climate justice! Discover the essence of a Just Transition, explore different forms of resilience, and engage through inspiring community-led projects as we learn to create how we can foster this type of transition in our own communities.
***K-12 teachers in Washington State who complete the virtual or in-person workshops will receive clock hours (regular and STEM) More information is in the registration form. These workshops are intergenerational, with content appropriate for students from middle school to grandparents. We will have materials and prizes in all workshops, as well as interpretation+translation English-Spanish. Food will be provided during the in-person workshops in Tacoma and Pasco. Mini-grants for youth-based/led groups in Washington State will be available in January 2025 to co-create their own learning resources and apply to present during the in-person workshops!
