Capture the diversity of winter plant life in watercolor and ink. Working from the berries, seed pods and the winter blooming flowers of the UW Botanical Gardens you will be guided in an intuitive approach to sketching with pen and layering watercolor washes. Beginning with quick warm-up exercises you will learn how to paint loosely and accurately and gather tips that can be applied to everyday sketching. All levels are welcome. Instructor Lisa Snow Lady has a BA in Fine Art and Art History and a BFA in Painting from the University of Washington, as well as a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Edmonds Community College. She has been sketching and painting for over 20 years and teaches in public and private gardens. Lisa enjoys encouraging students of all artistic levels. Classes run every Wednesday for 4 weeks, 1/22/25 - 2/12/25, from 4PM-6PM A supply list will be provided with your confirmation email. All levels welcome. |
