Description | Join Theodore Hoss on this guided tour of evergreen trees on the UW campus! Winter is coming to the Evergreen State, and this UW Campus Tree Tour is an excellent way to get to know more about some of the trees that have given Washington its nickname! Take some time to get to know some of the species that compose the distinctive forests of the Pacific Northwest, and learn about the pines, firs, hemlocks, cypress, cedar, and more that call our region home! We will also be discussing some of the fossil history of the state's forests, and looking at how a changing climate is shifting the composition of our forests. Please dress for the weather, bring water and feel free to bring along friends and tree questions. We hope to see you there! |
