Visit the Special Collections May/June pop-up Medium is the Message extension exhibit in Allen North Mezzanine. Like the reading room exhibit, Displacement centers the graphic memoir, Citizen 13660 by Miné Okubo, to further explore the breadth of graphic novels depicting Japanese-American's stories. On display you will see some of the graphic novels and memoirs Special Collections has collected on Japanese incarceration along with reproductions of historic documents from the time. Visit Special Collections to see any or all of the material in person and more! Additionally, Special Collections is hosting several events in tandem with this exhibit: May 8 - Author Talk with Josh Tuininga from 4:00-6:30 pm in Allen Auditorium May 15 - Book Club on Citizen 13660 by Miné Okubo from 5:00-6:30 pm in the Special Collections Classroom |
