The Division of Art at the UW School of Art + Art History + Design presents a 2-day printmaking workshop featuring Portland based artist, Jeffry Mitchell and collaborative printer/artist and owner of Sidereal Press, Sheila Coppola om December 5th and 6th, 10am-4pm. In this workshop, students will learn techniques of intaglio etching by using softground and aquatint to create multi-tonal prints that celebrate the theme of Flora and Fauna. Concepts of technique and the relationship of collaboration through art and printmaking will be discussed. This free workshop is able to accept 18 students from different programs within the School of Art + Art History + Design. No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.
